The main objectives of SMART-ASD project are:

        The development of software and protocols for helping professionals and parents to determine the most appropriate technological solutions for the students with autism and/or learning difficulties.

        The creation of an online training facility to train about the tools created.

        To run an experimental study to test the efficacy of the created tools for helping people with autism and/or learning difficulties to improve their learning and communication.

        To train teachers and parents of the participant schools about the use of all the project products.

        To learn from people with autism.

        To learn the best practices from other countries

        To ensure the transferability of the project results to a diversity of contexts and to maximize the impact on different target groups.

SMART-ASD project work has been organized in the following activities:

        Intellectual Outputs

o   O1: Development of an app for the assessment of individual needs on IT and autism

o   O2: Online Training Course

o   O3: Experimental Research on the App use

        Multiplier Events at Konya (Turkey) and Valencia (Spain), planned to spread project results

        Training Action at Bath (United Kingdom)

        Transnational Meetings at Valencia (Spain), Bath (United Kingdom), Konya (Turkey) and Valencia (Spain)
