Smart-ASD App has been designed to help teachers to assess individual needs of students with autism and learning difficulties in terms of:
• What smart devices fit better with their individual profile?
• What device protection systems (case, screen protections,…) are better for that particular individual and for a given device?
• What software Apps are recommendable to use by that particular student?
• What training needs have parents and professionals working with a particular student in order to take real advantage of the child using that particular combination of technologies?

The main expected impact is the identification of technologies (i.e. apps for smart devices) that will strongly impact the learning and communication of students with ASD and/or Learning Difficulties. This will be achieved by the use of the assessment app that will be developed as the first intellectual output. From the point of view of teachers and parents, expected impact will be reflected on skill acquisition and attitude toward technology. This will be obtained by them making the online training course on IT for autism (in relation to the developed App) that will be developed as the second intellectual output of the project. It is also expected that this increase in knowledge about technologies will have a positive influence the process of learning by students with autism and/or learning difficulties.
